Gulf Capital Investment Company KSCC “InvestGB”, the investment arm of Gulf Bank, hosted a dedicated environmental awareness session for its employees as part of its ongoing partnership with Omniya, a leading recycling company in Kuwait. The Omniya partnership and employee awareness program represent the latest steps in the company’s broader sustainable development strategy.
The session was led by Omniya’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Sana’a AlGhemlas, which brought together InvestGB staff to deepen their understanding of plastic recycling, sustainable waste management, and the role each individual can play in building a cleaner environment.
The awareness session covered a range of topics, including the types of plastic collected through Omniya’s recycling program, best practices for waste segregation in the workplace and how employees can extend their recycling efforts beyond the office and into their homes and communities.
Attendees were also introduced to the Omniya mobile application, which enables users to locate nearby collection points and track their recycling activity, and were provided with the company’s dedicated referral code to begin participating immediately.
The session follows the formal announcement of the partnership between InvestGB and Omniya, under which dedicated bins for collecting plastic and recyclable materials have been installed across InvestGB’s offices. These materials are collected by Omniya on a scheduled basis for recycling, significantly reducing environmental impact and encouraging employees to adopt sustainable practices as part of their daily routines.
Commenting on the session, InvestGB’s Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Mr. Nazem Yousef AlGhabra, said: “Hosting this session is a natural extension of our partnership with Omniya and reflects our belief that real environmental change begins with awareness. We want our employees to feel empowered to make a difference, both at work and in their personal lives, and we are proud to give them the tools and knowledge to do so.”
Ms. AlGhemlas expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that engaging employees directly is central to building a genuine culture of recycling. She added that InvestGB’s commitment to embedding sustainability into its day-to-day operations makes it a model for other institutions in Kuwait.
